A Little Bit About Us

Vivien plays Edith - a glasses wearing, chain smoking woman of the forties who always has a cheeky word for her sister (and for the men of the audience on occasion too!) Her comic timing, hilarious facial expressions and phenomenal stage presence make for a very entertaining show.

Edith: Played by Vivien...

As a powerful classically trained mezzo soprano with a near five octave vocal range, Viv is a lover of the big ballads and has a voice likened to Shirley Bassey, Connie Francis and Vera Lynn. Having performed since the age of four, she won many competitions as a child including Brian Hibbard's Valley Star, Trecco Bay's Annual Talent Competition and was even noted in her year book at school as the pupil 'most likely to be famous one day!' Viv loves to  spend her spare time sampling mocktails in Jazz bars, watching musicals and line dancing. Her best friend is definitely her sister.

Joanie: Played by Ceinwen...

Ceinwen plays Joanie - the straight laced one of the duo who struggles to keep Edith in check. She does like to be a bit saucy if she sees a handsome gent in her audience though! Her warmth onstage can be felt by all who watch her and her beautiful soprano voice blends perfectly with Edie's low rich tones.

Too shy to perform as a child but always aware of a deep love of all things musical, Ceinwen got over her stage nerves and has become a fantastically polished performer, delighting her audiences with her phenomenally powerful four and half octave voice which is likened to that of Patty Andrews, Gracie Fields and Vera Lynn.

An ex-teacher, Ceinwen plays Ukulele, guitar, a little piano, harmonica and tambourine so one could say that she is a bit of a virtuoso! She loves spending her spare time reading, writing songs, watching history documentaries and frequenting the same Jazz bars as her sister for mocktails!
